 It took me so long to finally pick this and get past the first two chapters, but I'm glad I stuck to it. I really enjoyed this sequel, and how much it delved into the rituals and magic in the societies, and also the deep secrets they hold.

It was interesting to see Alex recruit new/different characters into the fold for this plan. It made the novel feel so much more expansive and adventurous. There were so many moving parts to the plan and rituals, and it kept me on my toes.

The demons and death and darkness were icing on the cake. And what an ending!
