I mostly liked this. I admit that sometimes I read close to bed time and I fall asleep while reading which means the next time I pick up a book, I don't clearly recall all the recent details. I think this hurt me a lot reading this b/c I had a hard time following along at certain points.
I still like Williams' books and i'll read more but this one wasn't my favorite.

Part historical fiction/part spy novel. I enjoyed following along the lives of the twin sisters’ and discovering how far they were willing to go for love.

First and foremost, I would classify this book as historical fiction, not a spy thriller (as the latter implies a faster pace). In the author's note, Williams states that she wanted to examine the psychological effects experienced by spies similar to the historic Cambridge Five and how it might have impacted their families. In that respect, she's accomplished her goal. The first half of the book is largely character driven, and I was more interested in the second half of the book where more action takes place.
