This is a really fun series.  A bit ya in sections,  but definitely a good book.

Lily is a witch who meets Mist at a corner store shopping for ice cream. Mist is a demon hunter enslaved to Paimon. After going rouge, he meets Lily. Even though shes a witch, Lily has no interest in practicing despite her twin sister's persistence. When they're discovered by Paimon, Lily and Mist go on the run to escape torture. I really enjoyed Mist and his evolution from villain to sweetheart, but the instalove relationship between them was just kinda hard to follow.

This book has me wishing I could find my own demon boyfriend, but especially a hunter that growls "mine" because That. Was. Hot. Mist and Lily make such a cute couple, and I loved the mixture of tenderness and spice between them. Oh and that tail! *swoons* Can't wait to read the next book!

I liked My Demon Hunter a lot. It kept me invested and entertained the entire time, I liked both Mist and Lily, and the conflict with Paimon and the prophecy was gripping. I enjoyed the animalistic nature of the seggs scenes and Mist's use of his tail and demon tongue were hot to say the least.

Overall, I think the author's writing was well done, and I enjoyed the overall story, how descriptive the scenes in Paimon's realms were, and the world building that took place in this installment in the series.

My criticisms are that it felt a bit too insta-lovey for my taste, I prefer a more talkative MMC in seggs scenes, and I struggle a bit with it being written in 3rd person.

I can honestly say that I was not expecting this story to go the way that it went! It was cute, dark, and spicy! The plot thickened exponentially and I was not expecting that. This is a great book two and I’m ready for more.
