"Because I was Annika Haven and he was Levi Bailey. And as silly as it might have seemed to an outsider, that was enough to kill whatever could have blossomed between us."
What can I say? I fell in love with this series just a few days ago and completely devoured it. I am lucky enough to know Claire's wonderful assistant, and she was able to send me an early copy of Rewriting the Stars.
This book was the best finale possible. It tied everything up nicely, it didn't leave me with questions, or feeling unsatisfied. I absolutely loved finally knowing more about the infamous treasure, as well as who was really behind the kidnappings and fires.
Levi and Annika's story was perfect. And I think it was smart of Claire to leave them for the end. Levi being a Bailey and Annika being a Haden. What I especially love with Claire's writing is that she doesn't rush the relationship, but she also doesn't make us wait until the end for them to be together. Rewriting the Stars was emotional, and I loved seeing Levi come out of his shell and accepting the fact that he wanted to be with Annika despite their family feud. I loved that Annika was brave enough to stand up for their relationship and to go for what she also wanted. They were amazing together. As always with Claire, the sex scenes were fire, and the longing and angst were just what was needed. I also really liked the fact that we got to learn more about the Haven family, and see a side of the story that we hadn't until now.
There is so much I could say, my heart is full. I just love these characters so much, their bond as a family, the banter, the jokes, the dialogues… I completely fell in love with all of them, and I am looking forward to be back in Tilikum with the Haven brothers!

Long awaited finale to the Bailey brothers series. I enjoy Claire’s writing overall, but this book felt at least 150 pages too long. With it being the final book in the series and the love story so certain, we were left with the Bailey-Haven-Montgomery mystery that just felt long and drawn out.
What I did enjoy was that Levi and Annika never wavered in their love. There was never a time that felt like a third act breakup was coming or one of them was going to do something dumb to sabotage the relationship. I also loved when Gram called Annika Dove and Thomas Little Lynx before she knew that they were officially together. The Bailey wives getting the men to stop acting like idiots also made me giggle a couple of times - besides Evan Bailey, they were always my favorite characters.
What I didn’t love was the Havens. In general. They were jerks all around and now they get their own series? Idk.
Glad I finished the series, glad the feud between these fictional families is put to rest.

I don't have the words for this one. I love all of the Bailey Brothers, but this book is just (picture swoon here). I have such a hangover from Levi and Annika. I need to read the entire series over again (I left a note!), but especially Rewriting the Stars. I can't get enough of the entire family, but for Levi to finally get his HEA is just what I've been waiting for.
I was not the Romeo to her Juliet. But maybe I wished I was.
An incredible perfect end to a wonderful series!! I reread the previous books in this series before starting this one and it made the reading experience that much richer. With a feuding town and two key families - the Baileys and the Havens - at each other's throats... can Levi Bailey and Annika Haven find a chance to be together??
I loved this story so much - how it neatly wrapped up so many of the loose ends that began all the way back in book 1. I loved Levi and Annika as a couple and as two separate individuals. I loved learning more about the Havens. I loved the epilogue (and the bonus epilogue which made me cry!). This series is AMAZING!! And one I plan on rereading again - it is just an amazing town of characters.
