This book has been on my list for quite so time and it was every bit as good as I hoped it would be. It's dark, twisty, and has some fantasy aspects. If you are into thrillers, this is a great book to read.

In full disclosure, I 100% picked this book out because the cover art is so pretty. Once I chose it, I saw a few people comparing it to Ninth House - my TOP book for 2020. I set my hopes a little high after this.
The first 3/4ths of the book was way too slow for me. I love world building and backstory but not much really happened. The pacing of the story was off for me. Eventually I was at the climax and MAN THE STORY GOT WILD. I wish that the book shortened a bit as the last 1/4th was quite entertaining.
