Love harloe’s writing style and storyline. Wasn’t my favorite plot but I think she did an amazing job building these characters.

This was not my cup of tea. The brave woman who left the cult often came across as childish and stupid  instead of just naive. By the end she was a little stronger, but there was no reason for the change…the morally grey hero was morally grey. He gets points for going slow but loses them for constantly making decisions for her while saying he’s giving her independence…

POV:  dual
Tropes: hockey romance, small town, virgin FMC,  grumpy/sunshine, who did this to you?, touch her and 😵, slow burn, obsessive/protective hero, Nextdoor neighbours

Slow burn perfection 👌🏻

Swoon! I LOVED Ridge and Callie from page 1. Once they finally got over their fears the connection they shared and the sparks were so good! Ridge is protective, romantic and loving. Exactly what Callie needed to explore herself and build her confidence.  The way both characters develops through out the story had me falling more and more in love with them after each page turn. I looove the broody, I hate everyone but you vibes from Ridge mixed with the sunshine and curiosity of Callie. How we are able to experience everything through Callie’s eyes as her “firsts” was so well done!

The slow burn builds for a while but once it hits, whoa, look out 🥵

Do not sleep on this grumpy swoon worthy hockey romance!
