Me And Emma

Heartbreaking and haunting. Love the characters.

The "twist" was pretty obvious. It was kind of a waste of time if you've already read the far better written "Ellen Foster".

Me and Emma by Elizabeth Flock is a tale of parental abuse and the ways young Caroline Parker learns to deal with it. A tough book to read, with quite a shocking ending.

Tragically beautiful story that you're bound to never forget. Page turning suspenseful tale that you'll be reiterating to your closest friends.

Through the whole book I thought it was ordinary. Good, yes, but ordinary. However, the end completely threw me for a loop and this book is awesome just for that.

Gripping, fast read--ultimately heartbreaking. I cannot bring myself to recommend it to anyone because the ending was shocking--and very disturbing.

I read a lot. Sometimes I hate a book when I finish or I'm mildly disappointed. Most of the time I enjoy the book but it doesn't stay with me for a long time after wards. Then there are the rare occasions like this, where I love a book and try to make everyone I know read it!

I'm not going to say much about this book, as I think it's best going into it the way I did, knowing nothing. This was something I picked up second hand and I'm not even sure why, as the blurb doesn't really appeal to me. I'd say ignore even that and just delve right in.

It's a quick read, I devoured it in about two days. It left me blown away and even months later still thinking about it. Everyone I've made read it, though reluctant to at first, have always come away feeling the same.

There's no more to say, read it, you won't regret or forget it.

The ending made the book. It was just an okay book all along until I hit the end, which made the book instantly better.

Well written and fast-paced. I admit, I didn't see the twist coming, but then again I'm always kinda slow on subtle hints.
