I know it’s a contested account but can’t imagine it being written with more honesty or integrity. Krakauers observant style is inspiring to me

This book was amazing. I'm not even interested in mountain climbing but the events described in this book are tragic, fascinating, sad...I couldn't put it down. The organizational behavior aspects of it were more of the story than I realized. Even what happened after the tragedy (subsequent book by one of the guides and post script in this book rebutting that guide's book, "The Climb"). After reading the rebuttal in this book, I tend to think Krakauer had his facts straight, or as straight as they possibly could be...
