Been seeing this on booksta so I had it on my ebook to read. So now that I’ve read it, buckle up for my thoughts.
The writing is painfully horrible.
To be honest, I thought it would be better but I was taken back by how awkwardly crude, cringed and bad it is. I think the author is really trying to have this humorous and sassy voice of the heroine but it didn’t turned out well.
Another thing is that I honestly did find it funny in a bad way because the story was more of that of a trashy, modern, erotic novel?
Although I did find the take of Beauty and the Beast ; shape-shifting take interesting thing it was disappointing because of the writing.
I am truly intrigued on the characters and want to delve more in them even though the writing really did do them bad for real like the story really had the potential if the writing went to the fantasy type of a writing (if you get me, you get me) so that was really disappointing.
I am still interested in where the story goes so I will definitely have this series under my watch list.
Overall, this was a fail and a disappointing take of a fantasy, retelling of Beauty and the Beast. 2.5 ⭐️

i’m not super into the whole inner animal

I loved this book!!!! While the story is nothing like Butcher & Blackbird, it has that funny, dark, spicy, sex stuff in it. Absolutely devoured this quick read!!! The banter was FANTASTIC the steamy smutasy was on fire. Bravo!!! Also, the FMC was not whiny or weak and I adore that.
