Really enjoyed myself throughout this book! I liked the portrayals of PTSD, anxiety, struggles with substance abuse, & grief depicted in this sequel; it deepened the pictures of some characters & has me hopeful for their continued development in the next book.
Watching Hallie & Kase slowly discover their deeper feelings for one another is so satisfying, though I wish there were even more tender, everyday type moments that we could witness between them! Certainly hard to do in a buildup to a war though 😅 I can’t wait to read how their story resolves.
I have a couple qualms with how little of the planet we saw here, but I was trying to focus on enjoying the story more than picking it apart. Mission accomplished!

Few plot holes in here, some that made the story had to follow. The last like chapter with the two main characters was kind of wft, in a way that made no sense, but there was that one part in there were Kase went sprinting and I was so there for that. I like the entire concept and world, so this a big vibe read for me and I likey.
Holy moly, I can’t even begin to describe how much I loved this book. I hardly ever write reviews but this one is worth it!
