I don’t know what is in these books that makes me so addicted. I usually don’t like instalove books but this series has me in a chokehold. the mix of murder and humor is so perfect.
I could tell from the first book that I’d be obsessed with August. this book has so much more humor than the first; I especially loved all the scenes with the brothers , including Noah. I gobbled up every crumb of Adam and Noah that was given in this book, however I feel like the abused survivor Noah to cocky murderer Noah pipeline was a bit rushed?? It wasn’t a huge deal to me but it did seem like Noah turned into an entirely different person after the end of Unhinged. maybe it’s just because we’re seeing him from someone else’s POV other than Adam? Like he calls the Mulvaneys bro/bruh/dude ??? That seemed a bit at odds with the Noah I was familiar with. But obviously I know he would’ve become more familiar with the family off-page.
Also, I wish we could see more of the Mulvaneys’ SOs grieving/recovering from their trauma more? The end murder scene was dope but would’ve liked more of an insight into how Lucas was dealing. still absolutely tore through this though
