Não foi tão bom quanto o primeiro, mas gostei demais dessa história, esses personagens sempre muito cativantes, essas histórias com romance misturado com suspense e investigação me deixam muito instigado, me apeguei demais a essa série.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I like book one, so I dove right into this installment. I still enjoyed this one, but I felt is was a bit weaker than the previous book. I like the murderous vigilante operating outside the law angle but got a bit tired of the whole ‘psychopaths can’t fall in love’ premise, when it was clear he were doing exactly that. We are told that August is a psychopath, doesn’t have feelings, blah blah blah, but he just seems like a regular guy with a crush. I also wasn’t a big fan of the addition of the psychic element in an otherwise mundane world. I felt a bit out of place and haphazard. This series started off so strong that it would be a shame for it to fall flat now. I will give the remaining psychos the benefit of the doubt and try to see of the next book pulls things back on track.

I never thought I would be so invested in a family of psychopaths, but each book in this series just keeps getting better and better. There's something so fascinating about seeing the way each Mulvaney brother thinks, and August's brain was truly exceptional. Experiencing the world through his eyes and ears was unlike anything I've done before, and as twisted as it sometimes was, I couldn't resist the draw. His instinctual, almost animalistic possessiveness of Lucas was way hotter than I thought it would be, and even though their relationship was far from "normal", I was still charmed. Even when I knew August was being deadly serious, he still made me laugh at just how matter-of-fact he was about his ridiculously stalker-like tendencies. I don't know if I would have been as brave as Lucas after getting a glimpse at the man behind the mask, but there was something strangely wonderful about neither man having to hide the darkest parts of themselves when they were together.
One thing I've been loving about this series is the way it questions the definition of good and bad. By societal norms, August would be considered a bad man, but despite his emotional detachment and enjoyment of killing, I couldn't help but find him redeemable in this story. The Mulvaney brothers, when compared to some of the truly awful monsters in these books, felt more like avenging angels than murderous killers, only taking out the worst of humankind. After seeing August move heaven and earth to keep Lucas safe from the man hunting him, I couldn't stick him in a box with a label and walk away. Their connection was intense, sometimes frighteningly possessive, but unexplainably alluring to me. I did get swept up in the unconventional romance of their journey, and even though I registered that the way their relationship unfolded was kinda unhealthy and overwhelming, I was still rooting for Lucas and August to stay together forever. I was captivated by the suspense plotline, emotionally invested in August and Lucas's budding romance, and thrilled by how deliciously steamy their nights together were. Maybe I should be concerned that I fell in love with a psycho and psychic so wholeheartedly, but all I know is that I cannot wait to devour the next book and see another Mulvaney brother meet his life partner.
**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

This series is kind of dark and probably really unrealistic but I don't care. I love the brother's banter and how they're all psychopaths. I usually hate insta-love/lust but it doesn't bother me here.
I wish a psychopath would fixate on me
Or at least a psychopath like August or Adam.
This was another great book in the series. This time, with a pretty interesting psychic hook. I won't spoil too much except to say that we get s littler bit kinky in the form of .. well i don't want to spoil anything. If you're really triggered this book will probably trigger you, but if you made it through the first book alive you'll probably be ok
