This book is such a strange thing. Like I think of all of the books in the necessary evil series , this one is very weird and I mean that in a good way. August, I think is definitely my favorite Mulvaney brother and I like Lucas and I like their dynamic. The drama or the takedown in this book is the one that makes me the second most uncomfortable. I just love all the Mulvaney

I just love these little psychopaths. The plot is OTT and so are the men.

With the risk of sounding like an absolute maniac; these books are so much fun. Granted, it's actual psycopaths murdering bad people, filled with some fucked up shit (the soda thing? jesus), but damned if I didn't enjoy it. This more than the first book.
The "romance" part of it is a bit lacking to be honest (just as in the first one), but the rest of it well and truly makes up for it.

August and Lucas are not Adam and Noah but they are pretty interesting. I enjoyed Lucas's quirk. And they were an odd, in a good way, couple.
