I actually ended up liking this more than I thought I would
it was very hot and just really nice to read but my absolute favorite thing about this book by far is the fact that Quinn got turned on by Jack punching a guy for her. I am so happy this happened because whenever that happens in a book the girl always is upset she's like no blah blah blah its not worth It
I am ecstatic over the fact that I can finally read about a girl being turned on by a man being jealous and possessive like that, hurting someone for her...its so primal ...because im also like that so I felt SEEN. So just because of that fact I know I am a fan of this author and will be with reading more of her books I read this just in time because the next one in the series is coming out tomorrow and I didn't even know that when I pick this up!

I had high hopes for this 90-page novella, and while it started off strong, it did end up spending far too much time on a common plot device–a trope that I’ve seen a million times before, which ended up consuming valuable space in this novella. I don’t mind (actually, I sometimes love) this trope when it’s done right, and not when it’s basically the entire book. Trope is under the spoiler tag:

3.5ish star. I’ve learned I’m not into the dog/pet kink. But I quite enjoyed every other aspect of this book (novella). There was even a cute ending!
