I enjoyed this book, although "Gideon Speak" could get annoying at times. I really liked Scarlett. She had a great personality.
In this book we meet Gideon, keeper of Lies, and Scarlet, keeper of Nightmares. I liked this book, but it has been one of the slowest stories in my opinion. I love the couple but I don’t feel very much happened in this book.
I have to admit, I was not thrilled going into this book. I thought it was going to be the most annoying lead Lord, trying to decipher what he actually means to say ALL the time. However, again, I was very shocked and I think Gena did a great job writing this book. What's funny is that once I really got into reading about Gideon, and they switched the focus to another Lord, I kept thinking they were lying and that I needed to decipher what they were actually saying too. It tripped me up a few times, but then I got the hang of things.
I'm rounding up from 3.5 stars. I liked it, especially certain scenes but, there were moments where, because of the shifting narratives, I really had trouble following what was going on. Finally, really clever twist and play on the title.

I'm giving this a 3.75, while it was great to touch base with some of the characters I did feel like this story was a bit scattered. Not the central story that was good, but the rest of it....well...

I just love this series! The Lords of the Underworld are everything I want in my book boyfriends. This time, Gideon, Keeper of Lies, meets his match with Scarlet. Gideon Speak was a tad bit confusing but once you get into the book it made so much sense. As for Scarlet, oh yeah. Strong, sassy and an equal match to any warrior. As usual there was so much going on with the Lords and the meddling Titans. Lots of new info and secrets and all it did was whet my appetite for more.
Gideon, LOTU yang di rasuki Iblis Dusta sudah biasa di sebut tukang bohong. Lord tukang thou yang biasanya ini bakalan sekarat kalau dia sekali saja berkata jujur. Di luar karakter demonnya yang nyebelin, penampilan Gideon sangat pede, modis bak rocker dengan rambut biru, piercing dimana-mana dan tato-tato cutenya wkwkwkwk.. Tapi saat seorang wanita cantik badass mengaku-ngaku istrinya dan menuduhnya tak setia. Gideon galau antara merasa terhina dan kepo.
Aku membaca versi terjemahan buku ini dan kalimat-kalimat Gideon yang selalu bohong itu agak membingungkan awalnya. Tapi karakter kocak, mesum dan pede jaya Gideon membuatku bonding pada pasangan ini sejak awal. Interaksi dan banter mereka berdua seru, seksi tapi juga menyentuh saat bagian-bagian flashback.
Petualangan mereka di area kekuasaan Kronos dan Rhea sert kemunculan dewa dewi lain jelas menjadi penyegaran suasana. Sisi action buku ini tidak terlalu banyak tapi pengungkapan kisah masa lalu Gideon dan Scarlet sangat mengejutkan.
Seperti biasa Gena menyisipkan progress dari konflik besar dalam seri ini yang terus bersambung. Sedikit prolog untuk kisah Amun dan Strider akan membuatmu lebih terikat pada seri ini. Pastikan kau membacanya dalam urutan reading order yaa..

Gideon being the keeper of lies it was harder to follow the dialogue. But ultimately I didn't care for Scarlet that much.
