A difficult story to read - Lies must be a hard demon to live with but this story was brilliant. Another twist to the Lords series. Love it!

This book had a huge twist, so far my second favorite of the series. I have seen that quite a few people didn't like Scarlet but I thought she was great. She lead a terrible life and was broken and that is how she came across to me.

Well that certainly wasn't one of my favorite books in the series. It took me awoke to get through because it never really captured me like the others did. I don't want to blame it all on "Giddeon speak" but that surely didn't help. You know he's the keeper of Lies and can only tell lies so I would read what he said and automatically start deciphering what he was really saying, then once I had it I continued reading where they told me what I had already figured out. Now I'd like to say I stopped myself from repeating that process over and over throughout the whole book but that my friend would be a lie. I also wasn't really a fan of Scarlet. It seemed like she was a walking contradiction, she's the ultimate bad ass chick but damned if she didn't whine and doubt herself throughout the whole book. These just weren't my favorite characters and that paired with the backwards and forwards writing made it not one of my favorite books in the series. Im hoping I enjoy the next book more than I did this one.

DNF

I finished The Darkest Lie . It’s a great book. It’s certainly different from the previous books in LOTU’s series.
Once more this HEA was beautiful. Once again I see myself just desperate to know more. There were so many things that were left without a solution. Fortunately, Amun’s book is coming. What a relief.
It was kind of weird to read about Strider’s attraction to Haidee and knowing that she is going to be Amun’s mate. I didn’t like it.
And seeing Amun wondering about Kaia and knowing that Kaia is going to be Strider’s woman.
That is so weird!

I hope I’ll still be able to enjoy their respective novels. I didn’t like seeing this exchange of partners. Gross.

That stupid Neemah got what she deserved. I’m thrilled to know that Gid and Scar were able to seek justice for them.
What I loved about this book is that is so happy and fun. Bur then it also is heartbreaking. Remembering Sacarlet living at Tartarus and not knowing what it was like to be free, it was so sad.
And then also knowing why Gid loves blue so much. Well that was really be-au-ti-ful.
And their demons! OMG, who would remember to tie two demons together? What an awesome outcome. And Lies is a girl – who would’ve think of that?
Now I just want to read about Amun. I am anxious to know what happened to him.

Cronus is just an interesting god. Every book I read he gets younger and more generous. I’m really curious to know what kind of person – god – is Cronus.
And William – oh joy of my life. He is just killing me. I really want to know him and he’s just getting interesting each book that passes by.

This is book 6 in the series and picks up right where the Darkest Passion leaves off. Scarlett is locked in the dungeon and Gideon not sure why he is compelled to stay down there watching her. Since Gideon is the keeper of the demon Lies, and can only speak in lies this could have been a hard book to read. But I found it easy to follow with no confusion. I enjoy spending time with these Lords of the Underworld.

Forced to his knees in agony whenever he speaks the truth, Gideon can recognize any lie—until he captures Scarlet, a demon-possessed immortal who claims to be his long-lost wife. He doesn’t remember the beautiful female, much less wedding — or bedding — her. But he wants to . . . almost as much as he wants her.

But Scarlet is keeper of Nightmares, too dangerous to roam free, and a future with her could mean ultimate ruin. Especially as Gideon’s enemies draw closer . . . and the truth threatens to destroy all he’s come to love . .

Gideon is the immortal keeper of the Demon of Lies. He can only speak lies because if he speaks the truth then he suffers unbearable pain and takes days to recover. Not an enjoyable pastime. How frustrating must it be to speak only in lies and never be understood by anyone except his friends, the other immortals who are keepers of demons? According to Gideon, it’s very frustrating and it’s irritating for his friends to listen to him and try to decipher his Gideon-speak.

Even more frustrating is his love life. When he says, ‘Don’t tell me what you like,’ he really wants to know what a woman likes, but she thinks he doesn’t want to know, so she stays silent while he tries to guess. Not much of an ego boost. Until Scarlet, the keeper of the Demon of Nightmares, is captured and she tells him he is her husband. He doesn’t remember getting married, so now he has a mystery to solve, one that involves the incredibly sexy Scarlet who may or may not be his wife. While he’s off doing that his friends are off on their own missions and the war between the Lords of the Underworld and the Hunters heats up even further.

Another homerun in the Lords of the Underworld series. We have Gideon’s mystery to figure out, Aeron, William and Amun’s trek to Hell to rescue Legion, Strider’s capture of a female Hunter, Sienna’s progress after being forced to house the demon of Wrath and the appearances of various others seen in the previous books to see. I’m looking forward to continuing a series I love.
