This story is a crazy ride but I found Gideon speak less annoying this time around

Good read, but no great. Extremely kind of annoying , though. Very difficult to understand a character that says the opposite of what they mean. So frustrating! Glad this book is done , now I can get to Amun's story!

Team Gidlit haha I freakin love it!
No suprise I loved this one too, not as much as Aeron's but still loved it!
This has become one of my favorite series I just cant get enough of it!

I was a little thrown off on how Gideon talks seeing how he is keeper of lies, I thought I was gonna get annoyed very quickly BUT it really grew on my and I thought it was kinda cute LOL

And Scarlet was just plain awesome I loved her attitude at the beginning of the book and she has very good taste in eye candy LOL!

Probably one of my favorites of the series.

MY GIDEON!!! Okay, so as much as I'm reading these faster than I've ever read a book while I look at the words, because I'm greedy for more, I stopped myself from reading for days to watch tv shows and make this last. I even went to bed two hours early. That and I was coming down with something. But whatever. Even that didn't keep me from reading. (If you care, I'm fine, if not, then grow a heart)

So Gideon was always my little lover. He's not a typical Alpha male like everyone else. He wants to give up his control to a woman and be dominated, but can't because he can't voice that. He has blue fucking hair. Piercings. Tattoos that are weird (but totally cute). He really is this insecure little soul. First time he has sex with Scarlet, it's over so quickly he compares himself to a teenage virgin. Yeah, that doesn't happen in these types of books. The males always painted as some angry guy who's saved by some lovely girl. This is the opposite, and it's so lovely. Gideon is sweet. He's not like everyone else, obsessed with saving his brothers from the start.

It was easier to pick up the clues on the way through this book, but still I was left guessing half the time until I got there. I love that. As it was about 'Lies' or in this case, when someone's CREATED that lie in your head, it was always a challenge to see the truth.

So, by the end of this, Cronus is moved down my hit list which I never thought would happen, and is replaced by Rhea. Fuck I hate that bitch. Self absorbed, vain, egotistical.... whore. What. A. Whore. Never seen a bigger one. ~ ooh my daughter likes you and she's totally more beautiful than me and since I can't kill her I'll try screw you and when you can't do that I'll make myself look like her to persuade you then when you won't do that I'll fabricate it so she thinks it happened and she'll get hurt still~ GRRR.

Cronus actually redeemed himself a few ways in this, which I thought was a little odd. Somehow, his hatred for Rhea is making him be nice to the Lords to ensure they don't kill her and in turn him, and that they stop her from winning the war.

She's a sneaky one, but I'm sure we can rip out her throat. Boom.

I'm still trying to figure out if 'NeeMe' tampered with Gideon's memories too. But whatever. Now I probably look dumb because knowing me it was obvious and stuff. But meh.

Now my next lover is Amun, and Torin, and of course Paris as they're all depressed and fooked up and that's how I love em. Strider I just love for his humour. Although, it must be shit when women use you like they did to him. Ah whatever. I love them all. Even that shithead Willy.

I'm still bouncing between 3.5 stars and 4. I like Gideon and I wanted to read his story. I thought it sucked hardcore how he could only speak in lies. So I wanted his happy ending but I didn't think about how his book would be in the ass backwards speak. So it got to me a bit halfway through. I like Scarlett and her story broke my heart a bit so i love that she got her happy ending. I seem to love the side stories. It sets up the next stories really well...like right now I need to see what's up with Amun. So...I guess I am giving this four stars. LOL

I liked Gideon and Scarlet. I enjoyed her spunk and it was an interesting premise with Gideon memory and Scarlet's pain. But at this point there's a lot of "potential" story's out there and I felt like there were times I wanted to just focus on Scarlet and Gideon and I'd be dragged off to one of the other Lords setting up something further down the line. It's not that I don't like the other Lords I just felt like this lost as little bit as Gideon and Scarlet aren't really involved in the main plot of the story, but are really a side plot on their own trying to figure out what happened in their past. They don't really move the overarching story along and it made this story feel very place-holdery. Still I do love these characters and I enjoyed being back in this world.

Okay, I made it through! Really this was a 3.5 for me because it was really slow going for a while and a little long, but I love these guys, so there it is :)

Not a fan of this one. I couldn't really get into the story or behind Scarlet and Gideon.

Love this series

This book runs a close second to my favorite couple of the series so far.

I love Gideon and Scarlett. These two together are combustible!!

I always forget how much I love this book! Gideon and Scarlett are some of my fave characters, though sadly don’t get too much side character time after this (do they? I forget. But I think that’s why I kind of forget how amazing they are - they’re in the next books, but not tons).

And, though it used to bother me, I love the way Gena weaves multiple plot lines into one story, building up other characters and making us anticipate their stories. I used to hate it because I was too impatient, but now that she doesn’t do it as much with her recent books, I realized how much I actually loved it. It gives such great character-building. We get to see some previews of Amun, William, and Strider’s stories. (Though if you’re reading this series for the first time - William’s story is not going to play out the way you think, and honestly, I think it was for the best).
