When I read confessional literature I get embarrassed for the author not because it is insufficiently cool, but because it mirrors the depth and truth of human pain so much that I'm feeling it myself. Somehow I doubt Millner is risking much by describing how she got off via the most publishable provocative romance Brooklyn aesthetes can have right now.

This book is a dream...
The words they're kaleidoscopic, it's like a dream in a dream.
The rhythm, the tension, the relief, the timing, the structure, the storytelling, all of it, I am in awe.
To know writing like this exists, it is exquisite, delicate, deliberate and delicious. 
Each word dances on your tongue, before settling in.
