Definitely my fav of the series so far! Brother’s best friend is not usually my favorite trope but this book changed that!! I LOVED Grae and Caden! Their immediate connection from the time they were kids was so sweet. Also the twists in this! I did not see any of them coming!

I am still blown away by this book. There is NOTHING this wonderful human can’t do. I am so enthralled in every single world and character Catherine brings to us.
It feels like with every series, the twists get better, the turns get sharper, and I am always at the edge of my seat trying to put all the pieces together. I love trying to work one of Catherines’ puzzles.
Catherine builds these strong FMC like no other, they are always so headstrong, durable, and ready to get themselves and/or their loved ones out of harms way.
Grae and Caden have a little bit of history but not enough to be a second chance, more of an unrequited feel.
Grae – having been diagnosed early on with Type 1 Diabetes has learned to struggle and overcome obstacles her entire life, even the obstacle of getting over your first love.
This chick – let me tell you, when the cards are stacked against her, she is fighting back 100%. I loved her determination, her strength, and her confidence. She knew what she was capable of, and she was not going to let anyone stand in her way.
Caden – back home in Cedar Ridge is trying to find himself through a tough family loss and what’s become of his family afterwards. He finds his strength in Grae and they are a twin flames when together.
I was thrilled to be read this book, it helped me out of a massive book slump. I was floored with the excitement, the suspense and the strong bond Catherine shared with us. I can’t wait to see what is next in the series!
Erin Mallon and Joe Arden were casted perfectly.

This was probably my least favorite of the series, but that doesn't mean it was a bad book. I still adored it and read it in one day while camping. I never felt connected with Grae in the previous books so wasn't itching for her story. And at this point, the childhood friends to lovers trope was getting a bit repetitive. I think I spent half this book thinking "I can't wait for Roan's story".

This has been my favourite in this series so far. I loved Caden and Grae and the way that he loved her. The suspense was doing it! Loving this series.
