The Song of David was a tragically beautiful and heartfelt story. And just like The Law of Moses, this book brought me to tears of all variety. Amy Harmon knows how to tell a story that'll make your chest clench and ache, take your breath away, and fill you up with buoyancy.

David and Millie's story was mesmeric, heartbreaking, and so so breathtaking.

This is another book that'll stay with you long after you finished it.

Amy Harmon is a talented writer, and I don't think I will ever be disappointed after finishing one of her books. However, The Song of David wasn't as compelling as The Law of Moses. That book was so extraordinary that it would be difficult to top. David "Tag" Taggert was Moses' best friend, and this is his story. A brother broken by the loss of his sister, struggling with the decision to hang on or just let go. He and Moses friendship is almost immediate, and after traveling the world the two of them find themselves. They both put down roots, Moses with Georgia in Levin, and Tag by creating a city block of his favorite things. The bar he owns even though he doesn't drink, and the gym he trains in before his fights. His family consists of all of the people that surround him, officially known as Tag Team. While preparing for one of the biggest fights of his career, he meets Amelie. She's beautiful, and headstrong, determined to make the life she loves, but can't see as amazing as she imagines it to be.

Apparently Amy Harmon does no wrong. This book was beautiful, just like all of her others. She GETS people, gets humanity. So much love for her words and the worlds she creates.

The Song of David is a passionate, beautiful, devastating, heart-wrenching story of Tag and Millie; Tag a fighter and Millie a survivor. It is a story of finding love and miracles, of not letting what's ahead hinders you from enjoying your miracles. It is a story of friendship, of finding strength in one another, of and of hope.

We get more glimpse of Tag and Moses' friendship in this book, and of their journey to find themselves. All the characters are amazing, and listening to the audiobook makes them come to life easily. Millie is such an beautiful character - her strength and positive outlook on life is an inspiration. And Tag, he is such a softie with Henry and Millie. Also his friendship with Moses is just beautiful. I really love their connection. And them, that conversation they had about Tag fighting and not winning the battle, it was so heart-breaking. Amy Harmon seems to always craft unique love stories with great writing. She might just be added to my favorite, auto-read authors.

Amy Harmon is such an incredible storyteller and author. Her books leave me breathless with an aching in my chest. I'm always desperate for more. Hungry for more from her well developed cast of characters. Her books never disappoint. If you are looking to get lost and fall head over heels in love with characters then you must read her books. Amy out did herself though with this one. Millie, is one of the most amazing and beautifully created characters I've ever had the pleasure of reading about. And her views on life made me want to improve my life and my way of thinking. I cannot express how beautifully crafted this book is.
