Well written and thought out, Neal Stephenson always manages to tell a really good story, not dumbed down or assuming the reader is lacking anything in the attention span department.
I love that he uses unusual words that make you stop and think and the characters he creates are always very believable. The technology feels like something that already exists, but you don't need to know technology well to understand of enjoy this book :)

Sci-fi generally isn't a field I read too often. Especially pieces containing as much tech jargon as Age of Diamonds. But I found it challenging, and a worthy read. I found it hard to connect with any characters aside from Nell and Miranda. Enjoyable overall, but I'm afraid the grander themes may have gone over my head.

I was excited to read sci-fi by an author I hadn’t read before, this ended up being part sci-fi , part fantasy, but children’s book, part literary, I was quite disappointed by the end of it all, and rather confused 🫤
