Commercialized for churches, nevertheless a decent perspective on defining your life's direction.
This book came recommended to me by so many people, so I finally worked my way through it... and when I say “worked,” I mean “worked.” It was tough to get beyond some terrible, harmful theology. There were a few tiny one-liners of gold. I’ll take those with me and gladly say goodbye to this one.
Read this one in hardback. It is set up nice to be read daily. Very well organized and gives you a great perspective. It decently made me think many times when I got done with each chapter. I would recommend this book for people in search of themselves (with retrospect to God).
This book has been relevant to my life and has been helping me get through situations that I was facing for the chapter that I was on. When I first bought this book I wasn't able to read it because I didn't have an open mind and wasn't ready to change and accept the changes that I had to make. This time around, I have an open mind and have patiently worked my way through this book in it's entirety.
Awesome book from Rick Warren. Love all the Scripture references and practical advice. Would make a great gift for a new grad.
I wanted to enjoy the carefully hulled nuggets of biblical verses. However, Warren hits the heaven or hell choices very hard as well as choosing Jesus as your savior as the only road to salvation. Both typical Christian beliefs, but used here as the main focal points.

I really liked this book. It was a great choice to read early in the year to help with setting priorities.
For the most part, the writing was clear and simple, although later chapters seemed to pack in more information and Scripture references.
The advice was practical. I appreciated the perspective of God's general will for humans as being more important than his specific will for your career, relationship, house, etc.
I read the book in a short period, but it was challenging to get through the last 10 chapters or so. It would be worth rereading at a slower pace like the author suggested, and taking notes.
