This series has been so fun. I have not fallen for this series as hard as Clifton Forge or the Eden's, but it is still a super cute small town series. This one was super cute, and I really enjoyed the FMC as well as their relationship. Take me to Lark Cove pls.

While I did enjoy this one and it read very quickly, it didn't hit that romance spot like some other books of Denvey Perry.
They are easy reads so I will continue with the series.

2.75/5 "there's murder in this one because you're reading a Deveny Perry romance and no other reason" stars.
This is going to be rambling and incoherent. Here goes! First off, Deveny Perry, this is my sage advice to you: you do not have to keep your heroines virginal or sexless until the hero notices her or he returns. It's tired and gendered and gross.
This book just didn't hit the 3-star mark. I don't love a super timid heroine and I did not like Jackson. I hated that 2 of the heroine's main female friends in this story were generally cruel and all were pretty one-dimensional. The whole "willow" thing... then as a joke... gross. The hero's beliefs that they should breakup after everything he did to be with her made zero sense. The story in general was kind of meh and the hero was generally an asshat. Then there was a suspense plot for no reason. This book was a mess.

I actually liked this one a little more than the first. I was not the biggest fan of Jackson in the first book. While I understood where he was coming from, I thought we was a little much. I loved him from his first POV in this book. Did he piss me off? Yes, but he's a man so what's new 😂
The best part of this series so far has for sure been the FMC's. These are smart women, who are emotionally mature. It's refreshing to read about it. I enjoyed the back and forth with Willa and Jackson. She constantly pushed him to be better.
The twist in this book was kinda wild and not in the best way? It seemed so abrupt and random. But, it didn't take away too much from the rest of the book for me. I still had a good time reading this.
