Enjoyable read!
This was the second book of four in the Lark Cove Series by Devney Perry & it did not disappoint! My second read from this author & it has already moved her up as one of my favorites.
I like her writing style with the alternating chapters from each character. In addition to her style her characters seem real and relatable. Normal fears & feelings & what if’s.
The story centers on the new relationship between Willa (loved her) & Jackson (not so fond of) & the path their romance takes. There are a few side stories with previous characters from Lark Cove book one which I enjoyed as well as all the new twists & turns that Willa & Jackson are faced with. I must admit by the end… my opinion of Jackson had changed for the better. Kudos to the author for that!
A quick and easy read about a small town romance was the perfect choice for a relaxing Saturday. Now I must start on book three… Traggic!!!
Highly recommended to romance readers out there!
I had the audio version of this book & absolutely loved them. Hope they are the same throughout the series!

I really enjoyed this second book in the series. While Willa kind of annoyed me with her immaturity at times in the beginning of the book, I think the plot saved this book from plummeting for me.
I’m glad to see so much growth in Jackson and for him to get the closure he really needed.

This was most anticipated book for me and it did not disappoint! With just the snippet I read in Tattered earlier in the year I knew I was going to love Willa, I honestly was not sure about Jackson but I love him so much now too!
Willa has been in love with Jackson from the moment she saw him, unfortunately Jackson was oblivious. Flash forward 9 years and the most exciting and perfect thing happens, what amounted as a midnight kiss. But her heart is crushed the next morning, Jackson doesn’t even remember it and still calls her by the wrong name. So she decides enough is enough and she will move on. My heart ached for Willa, unrequited love has been one of my favorite tropes but it is still so hard to read. But she also surprised me, she is the shy, timid, wallflower type but her inner strength shines through when she needs it most.
As for Jackson, he’s had a tough childhood, had a horrible mother and aunt who abandons him so he is fearful of being left again. He feels he doesn’t know how to love so he stays away from any commitments and he refuses to ever marry or have children. But then he sees a drawing of Willa, not realizing it is her at first, and he can’t seem to stay away. But he had a challenge ahead of him, Willa has decided to move on, but Jackson refuses to give up.
I love reading these two grow emotionally. Willa made Jackson work for her after he crushed her heart and when she finally gave her heart back to him, she fought for their love when it was needed the most. Jackson was emotionally closed off, he wanted Willa but he didn’t believe he could keep her, I actually wanted to smack him over the head a few times, but with Willa not giving up on him finally he gives in. Swoony and sexy scenes commence.
Lots of twists and turns and a bit of suspense thrown in that kept me even more engaged in their story, but ultimately it was the love story between these two that made this book a must read!

It was a cute read, BUT I rlly think the FMC was a bit pushy and the suspense was literally 20 pages. Other than that a sweet romance!
