Seven is a lucky number, and somehow the Posse managed to maintain it the whole way through.
This book presents itself as a 19th-century western following a group of rag-tag witch hunters in search of a bounty. In reality, this book is a story about adventure, resilience, and the power of friendship. It’s less of a horror novel than I expected, and honestly less than I would usually like, but the characters and the weird, twisted string of fate connecting them all together makes up for it, in my opinion. Their lives, while all incredibly different and riddled with varying struggles, knit together perfectly. The Posse is less of a posse and more a family, it seems, even in death.
Apparently there’s a sequel to this book, expected to come out in March 2025. I already can’t wait to get my hands on it.
