King of Sloth

Now this was a good book. Ana you have REDEEMED yourself since king of greed, which u didn’t really enjoy. This might be one of my favourites. I LOVED Pen and Rhea so muchhh. I loved the story about the club and I like how he didn’t even care much about his inheritance at the end. I wonder what happened to his fathers business though… And I am curious about if Bentley and Georgia ended up happier with thier new child, but I understand why it wasn’t mentioned seeing as Sloane doesn’t care about their lives, and only Pens. But overall I did like this book and I loved Sloane and Xavier- and the mention at the end of so many of the other past book characters (and a sneek peek of Vuk and Ayana). Can’t wait to read that one!

King of Sloth really surprised me in the best way. Sloane was such a complex and layered character—I loved how much depth she had, and the way her struggles and growth were portrayed felt very raw and real. On the other side, watching Xavier’s development throughout the book was just as rewarding. The two of them together had such an interesting dynamic, and it wasn’t just the romance—it was about them as people learning and unlearning things about themselves.

What stood out to me most was the grumpy/sunshine trope reversal. Usually, I can predict how that dynamic will play out, but here it felt fresh and very well executed. It gave their relationship a new kind of tension and balance that really pulled me in.

I also appreciated how the story didn’t shy away from emotional moments. It wasn’t just about swoony scenes; there was an honesty to the way their connection was written that made it hit harder.

All in all, King of Sloth was engaging, emotional, and had way more depth than I expected. Definitely one of the more unique romances I’ve read in a while.

This is such an easy and cute read!!

A slow start, but when the romance started happening, so did the story! I fell in love with Xavier and Sloane, and enjoyed seeing how their dynamic changed and their feelings evolved. Plus some spiteful resolution is always fun to read. A great entry overall

Something about this book is so familiar!! Idk I feel like either I guessed everything that would happen or I have read something with a very similar plot, the ice queen gf and the ex-fiance that cheated. I just can’t think of what book it reminded me of

Love the name Castillo, and RIP The Fish.

What a flop. All the best parts don't get enough attention, and then the boring parts get repeated constantly. This book started off strong and got waker as time went on. I almost DNF'd it, but finished it for no emotional reward. All the twists were not surprising, and it felt like all the foreshadowing was hammy. Big fat bummer dude
