I wasn’t sure what I was expecting when I dove into this book, except that I knew it was a bully romance. I was pleasantly surprised with the plot and secret society twists and turns. I’m a sucker for it.

The MMC’s are douche waffles and there’s definitely an insta attraction from the FMC that overrides all her brain capacity.

I’m hoping there will be some serious graveling in book two, but time will tell!

Woah, That Ending!

You think you know the whole high school bully romance genre, then you read this and are thrown. That ending was a cliffhanger and a half and makes you want to leap straight into the next book for an explanation!

Started off a usual type of high school drama....

Has a couple of wierd occurrences that makes you think....

And then ends with a cliffhanger that you really don't see coming....

DID NOT FINISH

1. I didn’t realize they were in high school when I downloaded it.
2. I’m not 100% sure where the author is from but one of my worst pet peeves is when the character is a poor, American girl and the author writes her speaking British English. She’s supposed to be an orphan from the wrong side of the tracks in Philly and one of the very first things she says aloud is someone comes to her door and she tells them to “Piss Off.” No American teenager says that.
3. Also I wasn’t sure if the main character was supposed to be Black, and I may be wrong on this but I don’t think I’ve ever met a Black girl who would refer to her hairstyle as “dreadlocks” over and over again. They’d probably be “locs”

Definitely didn’t see that coming
