wow moreno-garcia is fantastic at setting a vivid scene, like the descriptions were so detailed i felt like i was there. this was super creepy and i couldn’t put it down

Weird, dark, and fantastic

Really enjoyed this book. Stayed up far too late because I couldn’t put it down. Noemi is a complex, interesting character and the story took lots of odd, dark, turns. Great descriptive writing that left a disturbingly vivid picture in my head.

On Darkling's Wings BOTM for October

I loved this book. Since I saw it for the first time (like a year ago), I wanted to read it. I was just waiting for the good moment, and the month of Halloween seemed to be a very good time for that kind of reading.
I was expecting a lot because I've heard so many positive reviews from almost everyone. I wasn't disappointed at all.
The only reason it's not a five-star book is that the middle of it is a bit long. Not many things happen and it can be skipped I guess. However, the end is amazing, I adored it. I really like the style of the author and I will definitely read other books from [a:Silvia Moreno García|21711596|Silvia Moreno García|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png].
I'm so glad I bought this book in English: a friend of mine read it in French and apparently, the translation is horrible. So beware if you're planning to buy it in French.
I highly recommend this book to everyone looking for a spooky story. All the positive reviews didn't lie, it's amazing.

The first half or so was quite slow. You know something is going to happen eventually and you just sort of wait for it to pick up.
