I really liked this when I was 14. The re-read wasn't giving as strongly but probably is because I am now older than all the characters đ. The premise of endgame is really cool though. Will I read the sequel? Absolutely! But would I read this one a 3rd time? Probably not unless brain de-aging is invented. :/
No esperaba demorarme tanto leyendo este libro, pero soy muuuuy lenta leyendo en formato digital. Me ha gustado muchĂsimo el libro. No entiendo a aquellos que dicen que es igual a los Juegos del Hambre. SĂłlo porque en ambas historias haya un representante de un linaje, y sĂłlo uno puede ganar el juego no significa que sean iguales. ÂĄEN MUCHOS JUEGOS HAY SĂLO UN GANADOR!, o sea, por favor, no podemos juzgar al libro sĂłlo por esto. El trasfondo de la historia es muy diferente.
Al principio me perdĂa un poco con cada personaje, de quĂ© linaje era, etc. Pero a medida que iba entendiendo la trama no podĂa dejar de leer. Me atrajo completamente y no podĂa leer otra cosa. De capĂtulos cortos y concisos y con personajes extraordinarios, pero lamentablemente mis favoritos ya murieron.
Muy ansiosa de leer el siguiente libro. A este le doy 4,5 de 5 estrellas.

It's like the Hunger Games but not quite. There is more action because of all the traveling but I feel like we are just being dragged into something that doesn't even get clearer as the book ends.
Some say it's like The Hunger Games only instead of 12 Districts, there are 12 races/lineages. But unlike the Hunger Games, "the Endgame has no rules" and that has its ups and downs. Up would be curiosity. What the heck is the Endgame?? So you'll keep reading. Con is that it feels vague. The author gives hints here and there but it gets old after a while.
But with all the places the Players have gone to, this book translate will well into the big screen (if they make it into a movie).
Hope book 2 fares better. Was supposed to give The Calling only 3 stars but the ending earned it an extra star. Totally unexpected.

Excellent 1er tome, j'ai hate de continuer cette course effrénée dans livre suivant. Les personnages m'ont tous plus a leur façon, les différents points de vue sont vraiment immersifs.

Me parece genial que el libro sea interactivo y contenga un enigma real y un premio real. (no tengo ni idea de como resolver el enigma me rindo)
Mientras en la historia hay un juego dĂłnde 12 personajes tienen que luchar por su linaje, matando, resolviendo enigmas etc.
Pensaba que iba a ser como los libros de Dan Brown, con el protagonista explicando los sucesos y resolviendo misterios que uno como lector jamĂĄs se le ocurrirĂa. Pero no fue asĂ.
Los personajes son interesantes si pero no llegué a conectar con ninguno y algunos incluso me llegaron a caer bastante mal. Otros no me importaba en absoluto y a veces me frustraban sus acciones.
La trama camina en una lĂnea recta. SentĂ que no pasĂł nada fuera de lo esperado y me hubiera encantado que los personajes demostraran su inteligencia para resolver las pistas (quedamos muy claros con sus abilidades para matar, perseguir, y ser arrogantes)
Quiero mĂĄs explicaciones! Quiero que expliquen cĂłmo resuelven sus pistas! Quiero personajes menos idiotas.
Espero mĂĄs del siguiente libro. La idea de Endgame es muy buena pero le falta ejecuciĂłn.

This book is extremely fast, almost break-neck, but it is so exciting. Iâd say it sacrifices strong character developing for non-stop action and if you donât mind that, JUMP IN, THE WATERâS FINE!
