more like 1.5 stars because i actually enjoyed the occasional thing.
so so glad i finally finished this book because now i don't have to think about it anymore lmao.
this was such a such a disappointing read, i really enjoyed the first book but this one was boring, it dragged, there was too much focus on the romance and side characters, not enough of the actual queens aka the main characters. nor has kendare blake actually fulfilled what she promised with this series: all three queens are still alive and the 2nd book is now over.
this series should have been a stand-alone or a duology AT THE MOST because there is so much irrelevancy in this story that i'm wondering if it actually had an editor.

Když mě bavily první dva díly, věřím, že i ty další budou stejně skvělé, proto se to nebojím říct už teď - mám další oblíbenou sérii. Netušila jsem, jak moc mě příběh chytne, jak moc se mi zalíbí všechny postavy a jak moc mi druhý díl zlomí srdce.
Už Třem temným korunám jsem dala plný počet hvězdiček a co mám dělat teď, když byl Jeden temný trůn ještě lepší? Bylo to nabité akcí od začátku do konce. V postavách jsem se vyznala dokonale, takže mi žádné nedorozumění nehrozilo a jen jsem si mohla užívat ty krvelačné a krutopřísné plány, jak navzájem zavraždit své sestry.
Nejvíc mě baví Arsinoe a ostatní postavy, které se potloukají hlavně kolem ní. Zbytek také stojí za to, ale Arsinoe mám úplně nejradši.
Pokud jste zavrhli Tři temné koruny, zkuste dát tomuto dílu ještě šanci a potom už přísahám, že vás k tomu nutit nebudu. Ale já si nemůžu pomoct, fakt jsem Fennbirnu úplně propadla.
