I hate the current fashion of liking villains and even more so of giving them backstories to justify why they do what they do. I’m sorry, there is nothing that can make me forgive an abuser. I don’t care what she went through in her childhood, stop justifying abuse. This is a horrible story for anyone, let alone an impresionable youngster, to read.
