I love this series. Serina Valentino does an amazing job telling the story of the villains. I always wondered what Gothel’s back story was. I feel bad for her. It is interesting to see how she what she thought was right was so twisted by the odd sisters. If you are looking for a rapunzel story, she is only in it for about five chapters. This is only about Gothel.

I thought it was a great book !! But honestly it’s becoming a little repetitive at this point with the Odd Sisters constantly coming in and meddling with the characters lives. As soon as you see the Odd Sisters mentioned, then you know their bringing some trouble for them. I do love how this book goes more into detail about Gothel’s past! wayy better than Poor Unfortunate Souls”. Is it my favourite book in the series so far ? No. Is it still worth the read ? I feel if your a disney fan and love villains you’ll love to get a different perspective of Rapunzel’s story.

One of my favourites from this series so far. Mother Gothel has always interested me and seeing this heartbreaking origin story for her has really boosted her in my ranking of favourite Disney villains.
