It’s a good story very elaborated and even whit a lot of the odd sisters they don’t take Gothel spotlight from her but it’s not like the other stories that make you feel sorry for the villain.

This book is Gothels story.
Mother Knows Best was good. It continues the series and gives an interesting backstory for Gothel. While not as good as the previous two books, it still does a good job of setting up for the next book. I’m very curious as to how Ms. Valentino comes up with her ideas for the Villian’s backstory. Especially considering the next book is about the Odd Sisters.
Fans of Tangled will definitely find this interesting.

I have loved Tangled since I was 2 (so when it came out) and have always wanted backstory on Mother Gothel *she said in disgust* and her motives, so this was really interesting! The end felt rushed, but that might be because it was just scenes from the movie which I thoroughly enjoyed. I still hate her, but see her motives now. Definatley recommend especially if you love Tangled and want for insight into Mother Gothel *she said again in disgust*
TRIGGER WARNINGS:
- "witchcraft" (to an extent, my friend literally read this to his 6-year-old sister lol)

3.5, but I'm rounding up this time as it was a great improvement from the previous books.
At the very least, the 180 tone in dialogue (as the movie scenes come into play) was actually written to make sense for once.

I hate to DNF, so I trudged through. Not worth it. Two stars because it's a slightly original take on the story, but the poor writing and dragging plot pulls it down.
