Another great addition to the Disney villain series. This time we explore the life of mother got hella from childhood to the familiar story we know from the movie Tangled.
Mother Knows Best explores a much darker side to Gothel’s life and what lead her to capturing the princess. It gives us an insight to her childhood and the difficult life she had, showing Mother Gothel in a different way and at times making the reader feeling sad for her.
I love the odd sisters and can’t wait to read more about them in the next book.

honestly A+ for creativity, I’ll give them that.
however, if I wanted to read about zombies and the dead rising, I’d pick up a hades book LMAO. this is perhaps the darkest of this series yet, and I’m not exactly sure how I feel about it yet.
all I know is that circe and rapunzel are precious bundles of joy that should be protected at all costs!!! I can totally see the darkness in gothel in the films and while I’m glad they expanded on it, I would have hoped for something a little less morbid? is that selfish to say lol? either way, it continued to weave the thread of continuation and now I immediately need to read more!

I wasn't as impressed with this as I was with the other stories in the series. I think it's because I really don't like Gothel. I didn't like her in the movie, and to see she's just continuing the pattern of her abusive mother doesn't make me like her more.
I'm interested to see how the story ends with the Odd Sisters.
