couldn't put it down for the first half of the book... then got so bored I couldn't finish it
The story was too predictable but it's a nice easy read if you don't want to have to think too much.

I called the “twist” from the very first chapter. Although it was still enjoyable watching everything pan out.
Wow, I couldn't put this book down! Just reading the plot summary made me curious about what was in the husband's letter, and once you find out, the story just gets more interesting from there.
I will say, at first, I had trouble keeping the different characters straight, but after a few chapters, things started to come together and make more sense. I really liked how the author intertwined the characters' lives. It was very well done.
Often, I'm disappointed by the ending of a book, but I thought this ending was done so well, I couldn't stop saying 'Wow!' after I put it down. Highly recommended!

Listened on audio and I loved the narrator. Her voice is still in my head and I think this was definitely part of the positive experience for me. I don't like stories about men having affairs... it's a trigger and just not for me. Why did I read a book called The Husband's Secret??? I don't know. But I'm glad I did because this was an intriguing ride. I liked the different POVs. It was set up in a way that kept me on the edge of my seat. I cared what happened to the characters and I didn't mind their flaws, because I can understand it. I guessed at some of the twists... but that didn't take away from the story. I liked the way it came full circle.

REVIEW FOR FUTURE ME WHEN I FORGET THAT I EVEN READ THIS BOOK:
Sometimes in life things don’t work out. For you, it will always be running. For Liane, it was writing this book. Was this published in the 90s?! It had some truly horrifying subplots. It was incredibly fatphobic. It was super incel-vibes. It was patriarchal. There was TOO MUCH TUPPERWARE CHAT. The actual storyline was quite good, but there was entirely too much bullshit surrounding it. Tess gets Worst on Ground. No thanks.
