As someone who reads a lot of picture books, this one is written pretty average writing-wise. The illustrations are nice.

This was an adorable book about a girl that comes from different backgrounds. Her dad is Indian, her mom is German, but she speaks English and enjoys American things at school. For multicultural day, she has to make something that represents her culture, and having a hard time deciding which culture she wants to represent. That’s when she decides that she can be all three.

She is proud of all of her backgrounds and doesn’t have to pick just one to be. They all make up who she is! This was a cute book. I loved it, even if my kids were t as into it as me.

"But where are you from, really?" is a surprisingly difficult question, especially since in so many cases the questioner knows what they want to hear. I love that illustrator Noor Sofi captured both the solidly concrete items and the more ephemeral swirls and ideas.

A great book to teach descriptive word choice and great for showing your students that everyone can be different but that’s not a bad thing

When it's  Multicultural Day at school, a young girl wonders how to pick between Indian, German or American. And eventually decides, why not be all three??
