To be honest I thought it was extremely cringe worthy and did not enjoy the book. The main character is pretty dim- I mean she tried to return the extra pastries she was given in “accident” and pay for them. Like come on, just take it and move on. And she assumed they just couldn’t count and that it happened to others and the business would do bad. Also once the *kinda spoiler alert* earthquake happened and she went to check on her friends in text I hated it. The way it was done and so repetitively- I also had no attachment to the characters as the book was short and didn’t care about others. Honestly the chef was my favorite but even he was lacking. The immediate switch and passion came out of nowhere and it was unnecessary.

Not terrible but not great. I can buy the premise that the MMC comes across as hating the FMC by accident because I know some people have that resting grumpy look, but their dialogue when they get trapped together just isn't very interesting. There's a couple cute moments, but this is mostly a bland story.

I was so excited for this set of novellas called The Improbable Meet Cute. It definitely gets you in the mood for Valentines Day (even though | should have read/listened to them then).
It's a mix of a bunch of fantastic romance authors. This book ! enjoyed very much. Since I'm a big pastry person I loved the details of the pastry and the romance was very quick.I would definitely recommend this quick read/audiobook for a cute quick romance.

Cute how much he noticed and remembered about her, but didn't feel much chemistry from her side
