This is great! It's god fantastic pictures. The text is a little wordier, but the story is great.

I love the illustrations (Aaliya Jaleel never misses), but this is kind of wordy for a picture book. I like that the grandfather is trying to introduce the spirit of Ramadan to Hannah since she's not old enough to fast yet, but the narrative seemed a bit choppy and disjointed. My five-year-old didn't feel any real emotional connection to Hannah as a reader.

The text is wordy, and the book seems preachy, without enough story to carry the message, but the illustrations are nice, and this is another solid option for families and libraries pursuing Ramadan picture books.

Nothing objectionable, the story just feels flat to me.
