it started off strong, then i slowly lost interest. the plot twist was ridiculous and i felt like i wasted my time reading all of that.

I thought this was a fun, twisty thriller. I really enjoyed the setting and the structure, it was very much Clue/And Then There Were None vibes - both of which are actually referenced in the novel. I did start to suspect the "big twist" about half way through, but there was enough withheld that you can't really put the why together until the end.
