Too much instalust for me. Plus, an hour in and I know little to nothing about the FMC, the plot, the setting. Nothing. Pretty much an immediate meeting of FMC and MMC, and unexplained circumstances.

I realize all my lovely Goodreads Friends loved this book. I may be the minority here but there were parts I loved and parts I was annoyed with.
I. Can't. Stand. Repetitive. Catchphrases.
To me there is a very fine line between when to use, and when not to use a catchphrase. And if it's said more than once sometimes twice, it looses its hilarity. I.e Adonis
The repetitive "I'm shocked to know I have this effect on him". "It's exhilarating to know I can make his lose control"
However toward he end I did start to connect with the characters more and noticed I wasn't just trying to trudge through as much, and because I do have a soft spot for the boys and the anger from a cliffhanger I will read book two!

⭐️ 5 STARS ⭐️
Oh why did I wait so long to read this book?
Seriously I absolutely adored Driven! I will admit that at first I almost gave up on the book, because at the 20% mark I still wasn’t feeling it. Maybe I just wasn’t in the right frame of mind to read it and it’s the reason I didn’t connect immediately, but I persevered and took Driven back after a couple days of break and this time I was completely immersed in Rylee and Colton’s story.
"He's gotten under my skin. And I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, but I know that places inside of me that died that horrific day two years ago showed signs of life tonight. Starting the moment he touched me."
Their chemistry is absolutely breathtaking!
What can I say about Colton Donovan?? Oh. My. God!
Such a tortured hero! I loved his confidence and even cocky attitude, but when he showed glimpses of vulnerability that’s where he stole my heart. He’s fighting with his past and his new found attraction for Rylee. He doesn’t really understand the changes that are happening and want to keep living as he did in the past, without real attachment, but Rylee makes it hard for him to keep doing this.
Rylee is a strong heroine as well. At first she’s introvert and scared of really living, kind of stuck in the past, but her meeting with Colton lets her expand her wings. It was beautiful to see her transform into a more bolder woman. What she’s doing with The House is also admirable and the connection Colton makes with the kids is so sweet! He really understands them perfectly.
"It's scary how easily I can get lost in you."
The road will be hard for this couple but I know it is worth it for a connection this explosive. I can’t wait to uncover Colton’s past and see him open a little more in the next books. This novel is off the charts sexy and heartbreaking by moments. K. Bromberg achieved to make me feel every emotion her characters felt in this book.
I’m a new fan of her!!

Why did I wait so long to start this series? *shakes head at myself* I'm loving this, loving Colton and loving Rylee. I love Haddie too. The characterization is flawless. Each have their own issues. Rylee resists temptation so hard but we all know she's doomed to fail. I mean this is Colton effing Donavan... he's so Alpha and so broken and so incredibly sexy. Who wouldn't give in to his temptation? I'm looking forward to reading Fueled next to see what Ms. Bromberg has in store for us.
My new obsession: Colton Donovan!!
I have procrastinated reading this series for months. There was a huge CH and the book featured the typical bad boy alpha. I am in the bizarre minority that does not "gaga" over alphas. Christian, Ethan, and Gideon all drive me nuts! I was convinced after the first few chapters that Ace would be in the same category. I did not buy the instant attraction/make out session.
Despite the beginning, I found myself drowning in this cocky, arrogant man! There is something mesmerizing about him that I CAN NOT resist! All of my logic and norms have been completely abandoned. Rylee - LOVE her too! She is so strong, most of the time. I completely understand her weakness for Colton. The CH is KILLER! I am just thankful I don't have to endure months of waiting :-)

I think I have a new book boyfriend!! :)
I received this book as an ARR through the FSOG group on Goodreads. Thank you to the author!!
I just loved this book!! If I were able to give it more stars, I would. I just couldn't put this book down!
We're introduced to two characters, both with issues and baggage. Rylee and bad boy Colton meet at a benefit and have a short, hot encounter, that is the first of many. Through their many ups and downs, they keep ending up back with each other, unable to resist the chemistry and magnetism between them.
Lots of steamy, hot moments between Rylee and Colton, with quite a few tender moments slipping there as well. The orphaned boys that Rylee worked with and their interactions with Colton definitely tugged at my heart strings and had me tearing up at times.
With a 'cliffhanger' ending in this book, I am definitely looking forward to the second book coming out in August. This was one of the best debuts I have read and am looking forward to others from this author!

I really wanted to like this book, it sounded really good. The damaged but Alpha male role is one of my favorite but this one failed to deliver on too many points. We failed to learn the history of why Colton is damaged. Rylee although supposed to be feisty and the one to tell him No, fails to really push back on Colton. The endless push, pull without resolution just got annoying after a bit, and it didn't end since it is a To Be Continued ending which I really dislike. The second book does sound more interesting than this one though.
