sorceryandstarlight's review against another edition

DID NOT FINISH: 25%

Not enough plot to offset the personally too much spicy stuff. Hard to get past the thought of someone watching Peter Pan and thinking, "you know what this needs? Group s3x and cigarettes." 😬 Too cringy for me.

RECAP: Neverland made Winnie Darling feel alive, but darkness haunts the island. With the fae queen and Captain Hook battling for control, they'll use anything—especially a Darling descendant now bound to Pan & the Lost Boys. As war brews & the Never King fights to reclaim his throne, Winnie wonders where she truly belongs—or if Neverland will fall with her twisted heart.

REVIEW: 5 chili peppers, people! Spicy, spicy, spicy. Is this unhinged smut? For sure. But there's an actual plot line that just keeps me invested - for example, learning more about one of the Lost Boys and what makes him especially mysterious. This is another one where I must advise to check CWs, if there are any particular triggers for you. If you can deal with the smut, this series is perfect for someone looking for a dark & fast-moving romantasy with flawed characters & intense enemies-to-lovers drama. The audiobook is 6 hours long, just like the first book in the series (The Never King), and there's a full cast narration for the multiple POVs, if listening to this genre is something you don't mind.
