ummmm ok. lol. i can’t believe i’m giving this the rating i am because i adore JEM’s books but what was this?! first of all, i will say it’s rare to find a romance written entirely from the MMC’s perspective so that was a refreshing but everything else was just…not it. the FMC? couldn’t stand her. she was so indecisive, annoying, and i honestly think the only thing she had going for her was the fact that he couldn’t have her since she was his employee and he was the boss. besides that, she has NO personality. when the reason for everything she was doing was rvealed i was like GIRL r u forreal?! I was SHOOKETH in the WORST way possible. for the first time, i completely sided with the MMC. she was fucked up for what she did and he had every right to be pissed of. i was shocked that everyone that “cared” about him somehow took her side and wanted him to forgive her so easily after the fact. because if that was MY friend that all this happened to, lil miss lainey would be catching these hands. what somewhat saved it was the character development of the MMC and also the smut (this is one aspect JEM does NOT play around with). but his weak ass forgave her after 72 hours and then it just ended so abruptly.
girl bye.

Not for me.
Too much of a man-whore, even after meeting the heroine.

I just loved the book. I loved the constant tension and the fast pace. The heroine isn’t the stereotypical virginal and pure, she is just something else! From the first moment Ty sees her he is obsessed with her and his willingness to forgive and move forward showed his big heart and the immense love he has for her.

Oh this was chaos alright but you may remove the perfect.

I with all my heart wants to like this book but the fact that I hated the hero in the beginning should have been the warning. I assumed that's what the author wanted and we were going to get like a big redemption.....but I still disliked the fuck out of Ty. And Lainey as well...

I made it to 43% before thinking to myself, this book is going nowhere. The both of them got some serious issues obviously. I skipped to some parts and found out about Lainey and what she was there to do. Still i won't be going back.

All I got from this book is that Ty is a man-whore which I guess we knew from the beginning. He finds Lainey attractive but he couldn't have her which drove him mad...how romantic. And Lainey is obviously a seductress which at first I was like yass go girl but it got tiresome. The oh I want you then no stay away from me you'll hurt me blah blah blah. I guess we know why she did that but still the two of them.... No, I just could not. I found the both of them so immature even though they were in their mid to late thirties which itself made me want to throw my phone across the room.

Also the book was only in Ty's POV which hey I was excited about at first but I felt like it was the same thing over and over. It was blatantly annoying.

It's been a while since I dnf'ed a book and I'm so sad it's one of Jodi's. I read a couple of her books before and loved it but this one didn't do it.

Hooked from start to finish on this book. The main character just keeps giving with an emotional background. The love in this book is unconditional and really grows on you throughout.

Good read, and enjoyable

Pure male point of view book. Here you don't get other sides thinking. Like zero chapters of female view, only messed up guy view and most of the stuff any girl would cringe is like drinking water to them.

Office drama where CEO can't fall in love with employee but that doesn't ever stop Ty.
His enviroment is realistic, high stressed, he lives high life and doesn't care about anything but pleasure. Book is one of those where in a normal sunny day and glass of wine you would read it in one sitting. My state of mind didn't let me do it therefor because of wrong time, wrong mindplace it got 4/5.
Wonderful written, english (ENGLISH) words used and most of all side characters and fun and one of those you would keep for yourself.
