Ahhh- mazing
I loved this book. Very few authors can bring me to tears but K.F Breene writes such an amazing world you can't help but become invested. I can't wait to read more from the DDVN world & with so many stories coming together I can't wait to see what goes down.

Didn't really care about the main characters. They weren't really people I was rooting for and just had sex at the drop of a hat when they were about to go through trauma or had just expyit. Just no.
While the first of this series was blessedly mush-free, this one is the complete opposite. All mush all the time, occasionally interspersed with battle and lots and lots of walking.
Basically, it's the Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey of this whole series - not necessarily bad, just kind of long and tedious at times. Plus, so much mush. And some angst. But mostly mush.
Admittedly I can still see the value to the overreaching Demon Days series - lots of things are being set up, and they are pretty pivotal to where I suspect the author is going with the next part. But I definitely did a lot of skimming in this one.

Yeah, I remember these being the weak link. The edits for audio were a bit confusing, and some of the story lost effectiveness.

I liked this extended view into The Realm (lots more magical people) and particularly enjoyed Charity’s expanding badassery as a warrior fae.
