3.75 Stars!! the plot twists were a little outlandish, but I just love the found family aspect of this series

plot twist galore. at 38% I noted a “crackpot theory” which ended up being one small sliver of the plot twist, so that was fun, cuz normally with JLB books I’m not even close. wow these books keep me on my toes.

this book was really fun!! the plot was a little messy and hard to follow at times but i still enjoyed it a lot. all of the characters are likable and i loved seeing the character development throughout these two books! there were 2 characters that i wish we got more of (Sadie-Grace and Boone).

This book's ending was better than book one's ending. That's pretty much all that improved, though.

….too many secrets and messy twists only to be brushed under the rug and everyone being TOO forgiving over some very dark secrets.
That being said, Sawyer and Lily’s friendship and love for each other was the real highlight of the series.
I think if you’re looking for a fun twisty series, the Debutante duology is a good choice, but I do think the plot could have been simpler and stayed a stand-alone, like it could have been just book one without the twist in the end that leads to book two.

Ok I really love this series, and I love jen barnes. This series was crazy good but the plot twist that I was up to was a bit too generic for my taste and the brother killing someone accidentally and sawyer being related to her bitchy enemy I couldn't. I'll come back to it later but I'm dnfing it for now
