I have read this beautifully devastating book many, many times and each time I cry my heart out. Yet, I still keep reading it. No other book touches my heart more than this one does❤️💔

i loved this book. i haven’t read much books about women in wartime, and i found it inspiring. war stories often leave me feeling sad, but while this one certainly made me cry, it was hopeful and had a very poetic ending. i love vianne and isabelle! i will say i feel like the book ended pretty suddenly. i wanted more!!

Where do I even start? I have an insatiable urge to delve into every book written by Hannah. It's as if I'm transported into every story and living alongside the characters. This particular book was an intense rollercoaster of emotions, both wrenching and joyful (like all of hers). I cannot even begin to describe it -

Out of the three I have read by her, this is third place but third place is still first place if you know what I mean.
