Hilarious! What more can be said about Moore! This story takes place in the same town as "Practical Demonkeeping" and has a few of the same characters, which to me is always fun, I like having them pop in and out of the story. Moore's humor had me laughing out loud, and totally engrossed in the characters and their craziness. Great read- and one of his funnier one too.

Still my favorite Christopher Moore book. I can still just think of the dog and laugh out loud.

The only other book I've read by Moore is Practical Demonkeeping which I had enjoyed but it had taken me some time to get used to his writing style. This time I knew what to expect and once I started the book I couldn't put it down. The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove is a delightfully demented retelling of Pete's Dragon with a style of humor that rivals Terry Pratchett.

Moore's books are especially funny to me because there is a Pine Cove, California and while it's not where Moore has located it, he's captured the town's many small town quirks perfectly. Then he throws a supernatural event into the mix and sits back to watch the story unfold.

Not my favorite of Moore's books, but it was a fun read.

excellent. as always.

This book was really funny. We listened to it as an audiobook on a long car ride and everyone in the car enjoyed it, and it made the ride seem shorter. Very funny.

This one was really interesting and funny. I would definitely read this author again

Oh how I love Christopher Moore! I've been kind of in a bah-hum-bug reading mood lately, and this was the perfect book to get me back into reading ...

You can tell Moore had fun writing this book, and I had fun reading it. In true Moore form it was smart with characters that I identified with. A run look at psychosis, drugs, sea creatures, brain chemistry, people's assumptions and the blues.

Thank goodness I am reading again ... I was beginning to feel out of sorts!
