this book made me cry about a straight romance sooooo...

Another great recommendation from my colleague Jenny Zbrizher! Delicious, wonderfully readable story about a bunch of teens who are involved in both a Shakespeare production and multiple player online gaming. I very rarely want to own a book. But I know I'll want to re-read this one some rainy day when I have a cold.

I really, reeeeally loved this. Gideon is the swooniest.

I saw this floating around in the summer and kept meaning to read it. This month's #AdultsReadYA prompt was a perfect fit, so I grabbed it from the library. I want to say that I saw Allie post it first, but I can't remember, so if it was you and not Allie, I apologize. I'm going to give her credit anyways.

This is a really good contemporary YA rec that would be a great addition to a classroom library. Amazon is saying grades 7 and up. That's probably fine. There is some cursing, but other than that, no major content warnings.

There was some things I didn't like as an adult reading YA (this always happens and I have to repeatedly remind myself that I am reading in a genre not really meant for me), but I'm going to keep those to myself and give it a 5 because I think teens would really love it.

The writing was flawless and the dialogue felt reminiscent of my beloved Lynn Painter- just so incredibly witty. I loved the gaming storyline. Mills also had expert-level characterization. I loved how I could just feel the characters different nuances on the page. Gideon was also such a cute lil YA cinnamon roll. Interestingly enough, Claudia was my least favorite character. I loved the cast around her so much more.

I'm rambling now, but go ahead and get reading + adding to your library. It's a good one!

It's been a while since a book made me swoon like really swoon and guffaw. Foolish Hearts grabbed me from the very start. If you want to laugh and fall in love with the characters, I would recommend this book.

It's a great reminder for me, who haven't been able to churn YA for awhile, that there's still magic in this genre.

sooooo cute

okay this book probably doesn’t deserve five stars but the lack of gushy, cute, heart-melting young adult romance novels in my life for such a long time just makes it SO MUCH BETTER. it made me really freaking emotional at some parts and i think it’s just cause Gideon’s character is extremely well written.

This was really cute! It takes up some important themes.
I love how Claudia and Iris friendship grows throughout the book, from two people who don't know each other, and then how they are at the end.
And then Claudia gets to know a boy, and then being afraid to get close.
I also love that there are no epilogue, I have nothing against epilogues, however, some of them just ruin the story a little. This has no epilogue, and you just get a clean end to the story.

Its just so good. Like so good. I love this book so much.

The year's starting off pretty good so far, reading wise.. This book was great. I'm going to have to read all the author's other books. I mean, I have no choice, this was awesome.
