I just love this book, and all of this author's work. My favorite part is that she has this incredible ability to make the world explode and stitch it back together seamlessly. I really didn't think I could love one of her books more than This Adventure Ends, but I do.

THIS BOOK IS SO PERFECT SO WONDERFUL SO AMAZING SO PERFECT SO FUCKING PERFECT I DID NOOOT EXPECT IT TO LOVE IT SO MUCH BUT ITS JUST SO PERFECT TOP 5 FAV BOOKS OF ALL TIME I ADORED IT EVERYTHING ABOUT IT CLAUDIAGIDEON ARE THE DEFINITION OF IDEAL RELATIONSHIP THEY GOT ME SO BAD GIDEON AND NOAH ARE EVERYTHING MY SONS

I AM FEELING SO MANY SAPPY FEELINGS. like so much, so much. i loved all the characters, loved the friendships, the familial bonds, the romance....oh lord this book is literally sunshine personified. there was no dull moment here. foolish hearts was funny and heartwarming and made me feel a lot of things i teared up more than three times. this is a comfort read through and through. would definitely reread during good and bad days.

(also based on personal experience, guys with dimples are the best. they have my heart fr. i love u gideon uwu)

oh and the audiobook was PHENOMENAL. go listen to it now!!!

YES. Yes, yes, yes.

A kind and funny boy as a love interest instead of an overhyped seventeen year old edgelord. A slowly blossoming girl/girl friendship front and center. A wlw side plot featuring character growth and reconciliation. A gaming side plot that’s part of the family and friend group. Doubts about motherhood and anxiety from the main character’s older sister. Balancing old friends and new friends. Putting on a Shakespeare play!

I have nothing bad to say, and we all know I love to vent. This is everything YA should be.

this book was like a shot of espresso.

This one made my heart brake in all the right places. Such a nice surprise. Will never stop recommending it or shipping Claude and Gideon

STILL haven't read any of her other works, why do I keep doing this to myself

I wasn't a huge fan of the other Emma Mills book I read, First/Then. But I thought this was really lovely. Even though I got it at the romance bookstore, it's more about friendship than romance. It's YA so it's a fast read but I thought it was delightful--the centering of fandom as a bonding experience, the inclusion of a lesbian relationship into the romance plotlines of the book, and seriously, Gideon sounds really awesome. It's a sweet read.

i need a gideon prewitt in my life

Any story that describes the protagonist's love interest as a "benevolent space prince" is a winner in my book. Emma Mills illustrates the struggles of handling change and becoming comfortable with vulnerability in a heartwarming, goofy, and fun to read novel
