This was such a cute YA romance. Gideon was so sweet and fun. My favorite part was the friendship between Iris and Claudia.

Between 3.5 and 4 stars so I’ll round up. Not as good as her previous books but still an enjoyable, sappy story about high school romance and friendship

More like 3.75 stars.
This was a pretty cute read. Emma Mills has good ideas and writes really interesting characters. She had me interested in everybody pretty early on and it was quick to get through. Not every character was perfect but they grew throughout the book. Iris was a frosty one but Claudia got her to warm up (unintentionally) as the story continued. I really enjoyed Gideon and I loved his friendship with Noah. Any adaptation of A Midsummer's Night Dream is always a plus in my book. It was funny and it was sweet and it went by quickly. I barely registered that I was reading the last page.

why are these kinds of books always the ones that make me tear up? i love it though

As with all of Emma Mills' books, I could not put this down. I read it from start to finish in one sitting, completely engrossed and determined to see how it all ended. I really loved Claudia as a narrator. Until... about the final quarter of the book, when I wanted to throw things at her. COME ON, CLAUDIA. Who are you going to listen to, dumb Lena who is not even a friend, or never-anything-but-sweet-and-supportive Gideon? So that was frustrating. But outside of that, loved it. Loved Gideon. Loved the ending.

This is soooo good!!!

it is so cute and such a feel good read awe

3.5 stars ** A quick, easy read about a high schooler navigating family, friend, and romantic relationships. Although the plot is mostly the typical YA coming of age story, it's a fun enough read that holds your interest. At times, the characters can be a bit whiny.
