A very enjoyable book, also quite "fantastic" given the adventures Allan Karlsson goes through. Nevertheless, I found its black humour entertaining and its style intriguing. Everything fit like in a puzzle. Made me laugh and feel good. For those people who do not take themselves too seriously, I recommend it.

Bored

This was one of the most entertaining books that I've ever read. It was hilarious and I loved all of the antics that Allen was involved in. The whole story tied together nicely and, although you knew it was impossible for everything to have happened to one person, it was still somehow believable. I would recommend it to anyone.

Not my style of book really. Trying too hard to be funny or witty and not much actual substance. Maybe another time if I’m feeling particularly whimsical

It was OK. To be fair, I am so exhausted right now I never really got in the flow of it. I’d be curious to know if the world events in the story are true and then the author just wrote his fiction on top of it? I wish I knew more about world history of the top of my head when reading this book.

Well I did read it in 24 hours so I did certainly enjoy it. Predictable, entertaining, instructive. But not great...

I absolutely loved this book when I read it a couple years ago. It was so whimsical, I found myself smiling at every page. I loved the romp through history portions. I felt distant from the characters but didn't mind following them through their adventures. Looking forward to now reading the second book!
